**Missionary Minute**
While many, many churches in the United States were shut down (and many still are!), many people in Kenya are meeting EVERY day in small, socially distanced groups. The Gospel is preached and godly principles of living through suffering are taught, and many are accepting Jesus as their Savior!
Our missionary, Jerry Daniels, says, “We have been so encouraged to see our Kenyan brethren using the Coronavirus plague as an opportunity to demonstrate Christian love and demonstrate the Gospel with great commitment and self-sacrifice!”
There are blessings through these challenging times! Let’s pray together that the Daniels and other spiritual leaders in Kenya can continue to reach the people of Kenya during this time and all times!

The Bankstons in New Zealand have a very similar story to our church. Our church had to make the hard decision to cancel our Missions Conference Weekend a couple of weeks before it was scheduled to happen. The Bankstons had to do the same, yet theirs was canceled just ONE day before it was supposed to take place! We know how much of a disappointment that surely was, but praise God that the Bankstons have been able to do a lot of online ministry! During their very strict lockdown, they have been sharing their new “home church” service online, as well as holding Bible studies and ministering one-on-one to others online. Guy Bankston has also had the opportunity to meet with a few folks struggling with depression – this is certainly a challenging time for all and even more so for many.
How amazing is it to know that missionaries we support are not only ministering around the world but holding their own missions conference as well?! And although events have been canceled, we can be thankful for all the extra ministry that is occurring online. We may never fully know the reach and impact that sharing the Gospel more intensely online will have…until we get to Heaven, that is. Oh, what a glorious day that will be!

3 Evil Threats:
Threat of War
Threat of a Flood of Incoming Refugees
Threat of Virus
Yet still, God works!
George and Luisa, our missionaries in Greece, have been in a war-threatened state of affairs. The Turkish army was forcing refugees into Greece, breaking wire fences and setting fires. Our missionaries began to wonder what to do if a war breaks out. When 10,000 Islamic worshippers came back from Mecca infected with Coronavirus, the Turkish army and refugees retrieved.
Like much of the world, Greece went on lockdown. They were only permitted to leave to go to the grocery store, pharmacy, and bank while using time-stamped permits. George and Luisa had been ministering to over 200 refugees multiple nights a week Voice of Truth. Eventually, they started to check temperatures at the door and required hand sanitizing. Then, their neighborhood declared them a threat to the community so the ministry simply passed out meals at the door. The next week, they had to deliver them. And then, inevitably, all gatherings were told to shut down. Thankfully, they have had an online ministry presence for years so the preaching and teaching continue, although now from their home.
Right before Greece was shut down, 108 former Muslims came to Christ and started their new Christian life! Praise God! And during the quarantine, despite social distancing, 6 more people have been led to the Lord via Skype! People are sharing the online sermon link with their friends – including ones that would never have stepped foot into a physical church, and it’s working! George says, “Whereas people were scared of closing the doors of the church, God used it to take the gospel outside of the four walls and beam it to the 4 corners of the world.”
George and Luisa ask for prayers for Greece’s economy. Greece was just getting on its feet economically when the world changed, and now much hardship will occur. Pray for them as they care for the physical (food and shelter) and spiritual needs of the people in their community.

Good News….Bad News…A Coronavirus Update from Tanzania
*Good News* Vernon & Mary Smith are SO happy to share that their ministry has raised up and commissioned 3 men into the ministry as pastors. Through the Smith’s faithfulness to their calling as missionaries, their ministry has raised up local pastors to continue the work of the Gospel to their own people.
*More Good News* Tanzania is still able to have church services along with strict hygiene standards, and two people were baptized in the past couple of weeks!
*The Bad News* The Christian primary school in the Smith’s ministry has been closed for close to 2 months. They were able to pay their staff for April but now they must give them all “leave without pay.” The Smiths are praying that the Lord will provide some extra funds that can be split among their staff this month to help pay for groceries for their familes.
We will end this Missionary Minute by quoting the last paragraph in The Smith’s newsletter, as they share their thanks with each one of you! Please pray they can continue to support their staff during this difficult time.
“You, our prayer warriors and supporters, are AWESOME! Thank you soooo very much for your sacrifice of offerings and prayers for us and for the ministry here. It is humbling to us to know that, in spite of all that you are going through on your side of the world with economic decline and even devastation and with changing social patterns… still, you have been faithful to your missionaries. God bless you and keep you safe!”

Our “Hats On Hats Off!” online event was a success! Such a great time chatting with other ladies about the many hats we wear, learning that we can be inspired by the Proverbs 31 woman rather than comparing ourselves to her and feeling burdened or inadequate, and being reminded what hat we should put on first each day.
Always seek God’s guidance for what hats you should put on and take off each day so you don’t crumble under the weight of your hats until they tip over and come crashing down! Most importantly, put your crown on first each day because YOU are a daughter of the King!
