Featuring Jonathan & Lexi Taylor, missionaries to Ecuador
It is our wonderful privilege to host the Taylor Family, missionaries to Ecuador, during our Missions Emphasis Weekend. The Taylors are on deputation raising support to go as TEAM missionaries of the Baptist Bible Fellowship. For the second year in a row, we will be partnering with an MK, that is a missionary’s kid, as Lexi Taylor is the daughter of Tony and Joy Anzalone, veteran missionaries to Ecuador. Jonathan and Lexi will be taking their children Adrienne (2 ½ yrs. old) and Crosby (3 mos. old) to South America to make disciples, train nationals, & plant churches.
It is our desire to add them to our missionary family this Sunday by supporting them financially on a monthly basis. But, in order to do that, we must have the participation of every member of our church family. Really, it is a matter of increasing our faith. If our faith in God and His ability to supply our needs is increased, then our giving to reach those who are not yet Christ Followers around the world will be increased as well. Please plan to be a part of every special event this weekend so that you can get to know this sweet, young couple who has “abandoned it all for the sake of the call”!

This summer our kids will continue to learn more about the Bible through a series called “What’s In The Bible?” It’s a fun curriculum from the creator of the VeggieTales. So, even though AWANA is over for the school year, please continue to join us on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm throughout the summer.
On April 20 & 21, 2012, a bus full of men from our church attended the 2012 Man Up Men’s Conference in Orlando, FL. The conference featured powerful and insightful messages from Jerry Thorpe & Jim Groves.
Our guys had a great time getting to know each other better and learning more about how to be the men that God has called them to be.
If you would like to review the notes from the conference, please click the links below. These notes were compiled by one of our pastors. They may be hard to follow, but feel free to browse them for insights. Especially, check out the “Notes & Quotes” section at the bottom of each entry.
If you are in the Sanford-Orlando area, check out WTLN 950 on the AM dial today at 2:00pm. They will be airing an interview and a message from Pastor Williams. Pretty cool, huh?

The month of October has been set aside annually for several causes and programs, and we just wanted to remind you about them as we continue on through the month. Perhaps, God is even challenging you to take action and get involved. October is…
Thank you so much for getting involved at our recent purse exchange event. Because of your generosity and desire to get involved, $254.80 was raised for the missionary wives who will be with us in our 2012 missions conference.
Also, many purses are still available for purchase. Check out the table in the lobby this Sunday for another opportunity to support missionary wives.
This weekend we’re encouraging everyone at our church to go and see Courageous, the new movie from the producers of Facing the Giants & Fireproof.
It’s important to support the film on opening weekend
The longevity of a film in theaters is closely associated with it’s performance on opening weekend. If it does well, it gets to stay. If it does poorly, it is replaced by a higher grossing film, probably one that’s been in theaters for a while. And, the longer the film is in theaters the broader its impact. It will reach more people with the message of the Gospel if it is well-supported by people of faith. If we don’t support faith-based movies like this, fewer will be made. If we will support movies such as this, the movie studios will finance more. It’s as simple as that.
So…
Come see the film with us this Sunday at 4:15
Free childcare will be provided at the church from 3:45-7:45 by the great people who are part of our AWANA team.
Also…
Please use the event as an outreach opportunity
Invite some friends to go with you.
Here’s the trailer for the film
See you this weekend at the movies!
P.S. – We are giving away more free tickets to the film this Sunday morning!
